I'm Back

Hi all well what a year it has been and it is November and i have been away for 7 months. I have been keeping in touch and watching all the beautiful things that you clever ladies have been up to but just have not had the energy to blog. But now i am back on a straight line and hope all the zig zag's are gone.

7 months ago i showed you some beautiful wool for making scarfs and i must say i have had a great time sitting and knitting over the last months. I have made 17 to date and had them hanging everywhere and one morning look where i found some.

  I have a scarf trees ha ha.

Knitting Scarfs

Now i hope that you all have not fallen to the ground with two posts in two days. HA HA. I was inspired by Peg who put up a U-Tube link to show how easy it is to use the beautiful lacy wool and make one of those lovely scarfs.

My sister found and sent me this wool and now that i have watched the U-Tube video i am on my way.Started with the blue yesterday and should have it finished this afternoon.
Sharon over at Lilabelle Lane got some beautiful wool with little pom pom on the bottom. So head on over and have a look at the beautiful scarf that she has made.

Accessory Swap Sent/Recieved

Well this has been long in coming and i must apologize to the beautiful Naomi for being so late in posting. Here is the accessory bag and goodies that i sent to Naomi. I went to her blog and saw that she loves purple and like me owl's so when i opened up my draw of fabric and saw this it was Naomi all over.
And i can not just send this so some goodies were added to the bag.
Then along in the mail came a wonderful parcel for me from Naomi just get a look at the wonderful accessory bag that she made me.
And have a look at the wonderful surprises that was inside i just love them all.

I have had the pattern for the needle case on my table so now i have one of my own. I am going to make one of them for my Beat Friend they are great and can hold pins, needles and scissors and look at the goodies in the needle case that Naomi put in. Also have a look at the note pad it is already in my handbag.Well that is it for today i have been knitting today using that lovely lacy wool for scarfs. I hope to show you soon.

I'm Still here I think!!!

Hi Girls, Yes i promised myself at least 1 post a month hopefully two or three but it has not worked out that way. I am still here DS1 had a motorbike accident when he hit a beast on the property and was flown out two weeks ago.

The Doctors and nurses and pilots that work for the rescue ambulance and ambulance officers are just so wonderful and amazing words can not express how i feel. They came in got him checked and ready to fly. Got him into the chopper and were on there way in 30 minutes of arriving. They are just so wonderful and then came when i got to the hospital. I had to drive 3 1/2 hours to Cairns don't remember much just wishing to get there. They came to see how DS was and to check that i had got there OK and safely.

So we are now home after 3 days in Hospital with a broken wrist in 4 places and gravel rash down both arms and on both shoulders and left hip and 5 stitches. I am one very lucky mother and one very lucky DS. DS can not remember where he was on the property and can not remember riding back home to the house. I do not no how he rode the bike when i say his wrist and arm. I now turn into the nurse and have to do the dressings and cleaning up every two days and everything is cleaning up so well. We are all well and glad to be back home and now mother here can pamper DS1 for a while.

I will be back on the weekend with a happy post as we have an appointment with the orthopedic surgeon over the next two days with traveling. I have some wonderful swaps that i have been in and received to show you all, so hope that you all have a great week and see you again on the weekend.

HAPPY AUSTRALIA DAY

G'day Mate Happy Australia Day to everyone. Hope that you all have a great day in this beautiful country that we call Home.
I am having a day of Sewing yay as there is only DS and me at home and i think that Vegemite sandwiches for lunch will go down a treat.

1st Swap for the Year.

Well we are into the 2nd week of January and i have joined my first swap for the year and am so excited about it.

I have only made a little accessory Bag last year to send to a friend and i just loved making it and she loved it to. I have so many ideas running around in my head as to putting buttons on and what fabric i will use. So go on over and join in it will be fun.Well have a great weekend i am going to play with some fabric to make my Accessory Bag and i may make up some as all the housework is done.

Advent and SSCS gifts.

Well it is the last day of 2011 so this post is going to be a long one. First of all i hope that you all have had a Merry Christmas and that tonight you all celebrate in a Happy New Year.

I have had the best ever December as i joined in Chookyblue SSCS for the first time. Many thanks Chookyblue for including me in this swap and for all the work that you do behind the scene making sure we have addresses and have sent and received our special parcels. I have had such a great time getting my secret person to make for and sending off the parcel and waiting for it to arrive and then getting my parcel and opening it on Christmas Day with all my family watching to see just what Mum received. I now have another Blogger friend to add to my growing list of crafty family. My new Blogger friend is Nemo and look at the beautiful things that she sent to me that were in the parcels that i showed you in my last post.
Exercise girls turn your head to the left, now you can see the beautiful wall hanging and little extra's that i got.
This is what i sent to Nemo and she loved it and is already using the organizer.
Then i also this year joined in the Advent swap on the forum that i am with and i had to send to Helen and Sandy sent to me here are the gifts that i sent and received.

This is what Sandy sent to me Day 6 to Day 10. Just look at my new Mug Rug and Mug Hug and the tea is just wonderful settled my upset Tummy that i had just before Christmas.

This is what Sandy sent to me Day 11 to Day 15. The Candles really gave the Christmas sent to the house, the shortbread did not last long and the bracelet was worn on Christmas Day.
Here is what i sent to Helen Day 11 to Day 15. Helen loves vintage buttons so i sent here a bag full that i had found in my travels. And she loved the knitted Christmas tree that i did for her.
Here is what Sandy sent to me Day 16 to Day 20. Now get a look at the beautiful organizer ribbon down the front of the beautiful journal cover and the photo frame with the beautiful saying Families are forever. I am going to put a photo of my 3 children in that when i can get them all together. ha ha.
Gifts that i sent to Helen Day 16 to 20. I tried to send at least 1 homemade item in every 5 and in a colour theme as you can see here soft pink for a lovely lady. I love crocheting and knitting these coathangers while watching TV.
Gifts from Sandy Day 21 to Day 24. Get a look at that pattern for the aprons i will be making one or two of these it is just lovely and the key or scissors charm i just love it so much. I felt like one special lady each day i opened up my Advent.
Gifts that i sent to Helen Day 21 to Day 24. As you can see the Hand towel matches the washer and coat hanger that i sent to Helen.
Now Drum roll here is the BIG ones Day 25. Here is the beautiful Cushion that Sandy did for me and it is now sitting on my chair in the lounge room where i sit and craft at night. I am very lucky.
And here is the Runner that i made for the Day 25 the BIG one for Helen. This is the first runner that i have ever made and i had so much fun and the instructions were so great to follow for it the pattern is one of Samelia's Mum. I will be making lots of these through out the year.
