Well it is the last day of 2011 so this post is going to be a long one. First of all i hope that you all have had a Merry Christmas and that tonight you all celebrate in a Happy New Year.

I have had the best ever December as i joined in Chookyblue SSCS for the first time. Many thanks Chookyblue for including me in this swap and for all the work that you do behind the scene making sure we have addresses and have sent and received our special parcels. I have had such a great time getting my secret person to make for and sending off the parcel and waiting for it to arrive and then getting my parcel and opening it on Christmas Day with all my family watching to see just what Mum received. I now have another Blogger friend to add to my growing list of crafty family. My new Blogger friend is Nemo and look at the beautiful things that she sent to me that were in the parcels that i showed you in my last post.
Exercise girls turn your head to the left, now you can see the beautiful wall hanging and little extra's that i got.
This is what i sent to Nemo and she loved it and is already using the organizer.

This is what Sandy sent to me Day 11 to Day 15. The Candles really gave the Christmas sent to the house, the shortbread did not last long and the bracelet was worn on Christmas Day.
Here is what i sent to Helen Day 11 to Day 15. Helen loves vintage buttons so i sent here a bag full that i had found in my travels. And she loved the knitted Christmas tree that i did for her.
Here is what Sandy sent to me Day 16 to Day 20. Now get a look at the beautiful organizer ribbon down the front of the beautiful journal cover and the photo frame with the beautiful saying Families are forever. I am going to put a photo of my 3 children in that when i can get them all together. ha ha.
Gifts that i sent to Helen Day 16 to 20. I tried to send at least 1 homemade item in every 5 and in a colour theme as you can see here soft pink for a lovely lady. I love crocheting and knitting these coathangers while watching TV.
Gifts from Sandy Day 21 to Day 24. Get a look at that pattern for the aprons i will be making one or two of these it is just lovely and the key or scissors charm i just love it so much. I felt like one special lady each day i opened up my Advent.
Gifts that i sent to Helen Day 21 to Day 24. As you can see the Hand towel matches the washer and coat hanger that i sent to Helen.
Now Drum roll here is the BIG ones Day 25. Here is the beautiful Cushion that Sandy did for me and it is now sitting on my chair in the lounge room where i sit and craft at night. I am very lucky.
And here is the Runner that i made for the Day 25 the BIG one for Helen. This is the first runner that i have ever made and i had so much fun and the instructions were so great to follow for it the pattern is one of Samelia's Mum. I will be making lots of these through out the year.

We were down there at 6am that weekend to pull it up then went home to putt the new buckets on the pump and back down on Sunday morning to put it all back down.

I will have to get outside and take some photo's of the Raintrees so that you can see how beautiful they are looking. We thought that we had lost them from the cyclone but will pouring some water and the rain they have come back looking lovely.

Just talked to hubby who is away at the mines and it is 38 there already but he said that the clouds are already building so lets hope that they get some rain out there to settle the dust. Only 10 days and he will be back home and we then are mustering. Busy busy busy this time of year.

Why Rells Place

Morning Ladies, What a wonderful hot day here today in FNQ. We even had a shower of rain at 10:30pm last night but shhhhh don't want to scare any more away. We need some rain right now it would be lovely and i just love the smell mmmm.

Well while blog hopping was over at Dawn's and she is asking how we came up with the names for our blogs. My Blog Rells Place is easy. My name is Narelle but all friends and family call me Rell and this blog is my little place in blogland so there comes the name Rells Place. It is where i can come and share what i have been up to which i have to blog more about. And i do so enjoy seeing all the wonderful comments from friends that i have made in Blogland. So have a think and go and see Dawn as she is having a little competition as well. Thanks Dawn for doing this i have been blog hopping all morning to blogs that i have not been to before and love reading how they all came to get there name.

Well hope everyone has a great day talk soon.

Hi Ladies,
Well like Jenny of Elfantz said a few days ago have we missed spring. It has been so hot here the last few days that we even had a storm with thunder. Not much rain in it but you could here it on the roof. If this is the start of Spring then we are in for a very hot summer out here in the bush.

But with Spring on our doorsteps i have been out putting water around trying to green up the place and stop some of the dust in the house and came across these today. I just love orchards and have been giving these tender care for years and i now have flowers yay.
I have been busy with swaps on the forum that i am with. We have just swapped a Sew Compendium and mine went to Jorja-Lyn in SA and she loved it. Here are photo's of it, i used my things to check that Jorja-Lyn would be able to fit here things in it as i made the pattern up myself.
And this is the beautiful Sew Compendium that i received from Linda in WA.
I love the saying on the front and here is the inside.
I am talking to ladies all over Australia and some overseas on the forum and loving it. Also in the mail last week was two books that i just had to order one is Tilda and the other Moda book and both are just wonderful. Can not wait to get started on making things out of them both.
They are two book that are worth adding to your collection.

Hi everyone out in blog land. Well another month down and April is here where is the year going. I have been doing a post a month so it is better than last year so here is hoping that i can aim for 2 posts a month. We are still fencing and the government is hoping to have some Cyclone clean up in this area soon. My DH can then get some relief with his elbow as all the chainsaw jarring has it swollen and very sore at night when he tries to sleep. We are still getting rain and this is the wettest year that i can remember in a long time. And the weather has changed and we have had to bring out the jumpers and i have been looking at starting a crochet rug but have to get to town to get one more ball of wool then i can start.

In the sewing world i have been making a bag but can not show you yet as it is for a swap on the craft forum. Can not wait to see what you all think. Have you been over and joined in on the craft forum i just love it and the ladies are just great. Here is the button to go and have a look.

While i am on the subject of Fat Quarters get on over to the Raggedy Station. Theresa has just opened up her new shop and it just looks great i would love to live near her as she would see me in there all the time. Anyway she is having a giveaway of the most beautiful black and white Fat Quarters and i would love to win this one. So head on over and have a drool like i have.
While you are over visiting Theresa have a look at the beautiful photo's of her shop. Would love to here from anyone that has been to visit and what you bought.

Well this is the longest post for a while and i have just loaded up some Christmas things that i made for family so i thought that i would show you. So keep watching and i shall be back on Sunday. Hope that you all have a great weekend.
